
Mischa Blaak
Speaker and breathwork facilitator at Journey of Serene. With two master’s degrees in mental healthcare and more than 10 years of experience in psychotherapy, Mischa brings her expertise in psychology to our collaboration. As a nurse practitioner and psychologist, she treats people with mental health concerns daily. Extensive training in breathwork and bodywork completed her therapeutic skills. In terms of personality, Mischa is social, enterprising, and creative, and she has a natural ability to attune to others’ needs. She passionately teaches people how to develop a deeper connection with their physical body and emotional world. Through Journey of Serene, she can pursue this mission in an innovative and creative way.

Sil de Graaf
Pianist and technical mind behind Journey of Serene. Sil has a background in computer science and completed training in live performance. He works as a freelance programmer for audio plugin companies, developing audio tools and creative solutions. Meanwhile, he continues to expand his musical horizons through sound design and music production. In terms of personality, he is engaged, inquisitive, optimistic, analytical, and nurturing. He applies his technical knowledge to create artistic sounds and sonic experiences, but above all, he excels at translating his emotions into captivating piano music.

Renee Verleg
Keyboardist and our most experienced colleague in the music industry. After training at the conservatory, she founded a successful band (Hypergoods) with which she toured America. Following her conservatory education, she completed a master’s degree in Music & Technology, where she researched the influence of music on (mental) health. This is where her passion for Journey of Serene originated. Additionally, Renee has been running a music school in Utrecht for five years. In terms of personality, Renee is gentle, loving, and thoughtful. Renee brings her wealth of stage experience to elevate the quality of our live shows to great heights. She also pours all her feeling and emotion into the keys of the piano and accordion.
